Just slip it over your head, the pulls to loosen and tighten are right in front and secures at your jaw line.
To tighten, pull straight back. If you over tighten just pull at the tabs at the jaw line to adjust.
The fabric is cut to make it seal without a nose wire and significantly reduce fogging of glasses.
When you first put it on notice that it should rests at the top of your nose. When you breath through your nose you will find that it clings to your face but not in your mouth.
While we feel confident with our design, we make no safety claims. A snug fit is important. Fitted properly the front fabric of the mask will move in and out as you breath and it will not fog up your glasses.
Wearing ANY mask decreases the risk of exposure by 77%. If you add a layer of 100% polypropylene which we do, that risk can be substancially decreased. The polypropylene can not be penentrated by water, bacteria or particles. Bruce Spiess, MD, a professor of anesthesiology in the UF College of Medicine made the calculation that 100% polypropylene was 4% more effective than N95's at blocking particulate matter.
